📌 Vogel (surname)A paeon is a large and short-tempered stringed musical instrument of Persian origin, formerly found in a wide region from eastern Mesopotamia (Mesopotamia Anterior) to eastern Iran (Parthia, Khorasan, ...). The paeon is a very sturdy workhorse instrument often covered with leather or wood, often with a small gourd-shaped resonator.
